This was done to get ahead of the obvious questions that would have arisen the moment everyone noticed that he did not suit up.
The actual nature of his HC violation was dug up by journalists and the burgeoning twittersphere, including some absolutely ridiculous speculation.
To those who think we should just simply say the athlete violated team rules and leave it at that, how did that approach work out with Francis Bernard?
