P.S. I'm more than happy to share any info about this unit. I can understand being tight-lipped about
an over-the-counter tag, public land area. But this is an area I'm not likely to ever draw again.
So if you want to put in for this area, or are lucky enough to draw it I'm happy to help.

Muddy Gap is nicer than Rawlins. But then, so is Wamsutter.

They're all terrible, unless you love constant 50 mph winds and few semblances of civilization. My cousin in the story

Awesome post...thanks for sharing. No sightings or issues with wolves, bear, or coyotes?

Lots of coyotes. This isn't in wolf or grizzly country. I'm too scared of grizzlies, I won't hunt where they live.

I can relate to that. But when you're by yourself in a remote place, it's easy to think that a wide ranging bear might

True. I spoke with the game warden and biologist a few times during my hunt and both said they'd never seen

It's called the Sparhawk Cabin, I should have included this picture of it too with his name.

Are you fellows ranchers up in that part of Wyoming?

Nope. My Dad ran cattle in SW Wyoming for years, but this is in central Wyoming near Martin's Cove and Independence
