The fact is, only a small handfull of teams have won a recent NBA championship
Going back to 1980, these are the only champions. And Philly and Dallas only won one.
- Lakers
- Cavs
- Warriors
- Celtics
- Spurs
- Pistons
- Heat
- Mavericks
- Rockets
- Bulls
And a couple of them were one-time winners. (Mavericks, Philly). So 10 of 30 teams have won championships over the last 38 years.
