but man. can you imagine what they could have done with a real talent on vocals? flea and frusciante are two of the greatest at their craft of all time but were stuck with anthony keidis who is basically musically illiterate and white-rapped his first few albums not just for style, but because he couldn't carry a melody to save his life. and he's still completely awful live even with an in-ear monitor. it's just too bad.
