You have a bad memory. Our defense forced one single punt in the entire game.
1st drive: 7 plays, 39 yards, punted after a hold and then an illegal shift negated two straight plays for first downs deep in BYU territory.
2nd: 13 plays, 66 yards, TD
3rd: 5 plays, 65 yards, TD
4th: 13 plays, 65 yards, missed 34-yd FG
5th: 9 plays, 80 yards, made 23-yd FG
6th: 7 plays, 34 yards, made 29-yd FG
7th: 13 plays, 60 yards, turnover-on-downs at the BYU 1 yard line
8th: 2 plays, 12 yards, TD
9th: 8 plays, 32 yards, kneel to end the in BYU territory
Our defense was truly truly terrible in this game. We were actually lucky that LSU didn't put up 50+ on us.
