1) Decent does not mean good.

2) BYU had a terrible season.  This was a bad performance by BYU, but it was still better than many others.

The defense came up with some timely (and lucky) stops.  However, that doesn't change the fact that LSU scored only 27 points (7 of them basically comming from the failed fake punt).  LSU scored 27 vs Auburn, 40 on 'Ole Miss, 33 on Arkansas, 30 on Tennessee, and 45 on Texas A&M.

Allowing 27 points to LSU on the road was definately decent.  However we are used to great defenses, so mediocre performances are huge let downs.
