Just to be clear, everytime anyone claims Kalani's first year
Of 9-4 was because of Taysomm, JW, and Kai, you are saying talent wins games over coaching.
A lot of fans give credit to the 9-4 year to the above 3, and none to Kalani and staff.
But then 2017 happens, we don't have the same talent, but all the blame is on Kalani and the coaching staff.
I'll always side on talert over coaching.
2017 was a major drop off in talent. The "best" coaching still would only have added maybe 2 more wins.
If BYU fires Kalani, like some on here think will solve all the problems with the program, BYU will just end up hiring another "Kalani", i.e., an unproven head coach without head coaching experience at the D-1 level, just like Bronco, Crowton, and Lavell.

Well, when you consider what Fowler and BYU SN was saying in fall camp they definitely didn’t see a bad season coming
