It was reported that BYU released him without any restrictions.

That was on October 23rd. I don't understand the comment that he was released too late so he couldn't transfer anywhere until he graduated first.

Why would you have to graduate first to transfer if you are released without restrictions?

If you are released without restrictions, then what stops you from transferring to any school that wants you?
