This. Straight teeth isn't only just a cosmetic thing
Getting an ideal bite makes a big difference in how the teeth wear as a person ages. I didn't get braces as a kid because my teeth were straight enough. I now wish I had because even though my teeth looked straight enough my bite could definitely be improved to make sure my teeth wear evenly.
