One of my favorite Shaun White moments was in Sochi...when he lost.
He was such a good sport and gracious in defeat. He gave the guys props for being better. He never made excuses for coming in fourth, and could have easily blamed his performance on that sub-par, garbage excuse of a half pipe in Sochi.

But he didn’t.

And then I read this article, and he made me like him even more:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/olympics/shaun-white-olympic-moments-and-mettle-without-a-color/2014/02/11/94fa0968-9354-11e3-84e1-27626c5ef5fb_story.html?utm_term=.72e4be626670

I also love that since that failure in Sochi, he mentioned how that lowest of lows not only made him a better snowboarder, but made him a better person.

Tonight was an incredible moment. Truly a storybook ending. I was cheering when he finished and then crying right along with him. Incredible.

Man, I love sports!
