To be fair, BYU might be the most difficult place in college to coach hoops
when you factor in Honor Code, missions, geographic location, BOT factors (many), BYUtv, fan expectations, primary rival in a P5 and BYU isn't, conference affiliation, etc.

I'm sure there are others out there who could succeed, but any coach who thrives as much as Rose has (I'm talking wins, recruiting, and running a pretty clean program) should not be easily cast aside when he produces winning season after winning season and also continues year after year to put butts in seats.

I'm not saying Rose shouldn't eventually be replaced, but replacing him will not be as easy as many on this board think it will be. Nor should it be.

He absolutely has some head scratching losses and can't win tournaments, but he is a BYU legend. The consistent and sustained success he has maintained is fairly remarkable given the factors I listed at the top of this post.
