Getting a flu shot significantly reduces the likelihood of death
According to research, even if a shot isn’t super effective at stopping people from getting the flu, it does have significant reduction in mortality.

From the CDC: “... between 80% and 85% of flu-associated pediatric deaths have occurred in children who had not gotten the flu shot”.

Just because you get the flu even though you got the vaccine, that is not a very good reason for not getting the vaccine in future.
