People often said he was "good" and couldn't be "great." I disagreed.
I think it was more likely that Bronco could take his "good" program to another level. Maybe not consistently, but if he consistently won 8 to 10 games and occasionally won 12, I think that might be the peak. I think the evidence that Bronco could get BYU, for a season, at some point, to 12+ wins is better than the evidence that any other coach (that will come to BYU) could.
