How is it in BYU's interest if the U goes on probation for a year?
BYU's non-conference schedule the last few years has been pathetic, and at least last year the U is one of the few P7 schools who will come play in Provo for a game.
It seems like its in BYU's interest to have the U stay somewhat strong. Most of the guys on the U's roster would have no interest in BYU anyways. So the number of head-to-head recruiting battles is reduced.
