If that's the case, show your analysis proving your argument.
Still waiting to hear your case on what Ronaldo does on the field that's makes him better than Messi. "Eye test" is all you've offered so far.

Advanced metrics as applied to soccer player evaluations is in my view probably a precarious thing.
Because...? And you're not even arguing using regular metrics. Are those "a precarious thing" too?

That article is hilariously stupid, and the rest of the "points" they make should've made it clear.

But let me address the argument you adopted. There's no player in the world that's in a more accommodating environment than Cristiano. Real Madrid plays for him. His defensive work rate is laughable. He doesn't need to "create space", because the way Madrid plays is designed to create spaces for him (a great idea btw, Cristiano is deadly in space). He almost never drops deep to get the ball and lead an attack.

And the clincher: "his teammates' inferior attacking dominance". Are you kidding me? Florentino likes nothing more than shiny attacking toys. Different system than Barcelona, but Madrid's famous "pegada" is a talking point for a reason.

Here are the inferior attacking scrubs that have shared the field with Ronaldo since he arrived in Chamartín:
-Kaká
-Raúl
-Benzema
-James Rodríguez
-Di María
-Higuaín
-Özil
-Xabi Alonso
-Bale
-Kroos
-Modric
-Isco

They could also be described as world-class players.
