Few was able to build on what Fitzgerald did and build the program into something even better. I think Gonzaga would still be good with their next coach but it would be hard to replicate the success that Few has had.

Interesting story about Fitzgerald. Sadly He died in 2010. He collapsed at a restaurant outside of Spokane and was never revived. I can't remember if it was a stroke or a heart attack. The interesting and sad part to me is I was there in the restaurant when this happened and saw it happen. I didn't realize who he was until the next day when I was telling someone about it and they said "Hey, that was Dan Fitzgerald, the old Gonzaga coach." Then I looked on espn at his picture and confirmed it.
