I've read recently that you dress to the company's dress policy or a step up
Of course, I think it is for younger companies and more traditional companies, would look down at casual dress even if that's what they wore. It probably depends on the industry as well with Finance, Accounting and Law being more on the dress up side and technical positions more dressed down. For example, I have a friend that worked at a known audio accessory company in Park City and they disqualified anyone that showed up in a suit, or so he said. It was about the company culture.
