Rose was ahead of the curve in guard oriented, fast break to get an open 3 offense 10 years ago. But while the rest of basketball has seemingly figured out through advanced stats to go more to this, Rose has gone to a 2 big guy, slow it down and pass more offense. It seems counterintuitive to not only what brought Rose success, but what advanced stats tell us.

The only key to that is to make sure we still have guys that play defense. The two should not be mutually exclusive and weren't in Jimmer's day.

Do I have faith that Rose will make the right decision to do this? Well he hasn't yet so no I don't have any faith it will happen.
