1. Have the son look carefully at the girl’s mom. No good? Then keep looking for a different girl.
2. Have your son check the girl’s teeth. Dad’s will marry off girl’s with bad teeth making that (and more) their new Son-in-law’s problem. Tell the kid to use a flashlight.
3. While being escorted, of course (by the girl’s sibling or parent) go into her bedroom. Check carefully into her closets and be sure to look closely into the top shelf and at the bottom. Check carefully under the bed too. You find a big mess? Send her back for retraining.
4. Have your son discuss breast feeding with the girl. If she’s hip to this the boy can roll over and go back to sleep. I mean, why does he need to wake up? Not to warm a bottle or whatever. This same concept can be stretched to cover changing diapers too, unless the boy likes surprises.
I offer these simple tips at no expense to the deserving Dads of boys of that certain age. Regarding the bit about helping to find a good boy for your daughters - no boy is ever good enough for your daughters, but it might be wise to simply let her teeth go bad under the assumption the boy won’t know to check them (unless his Dad is discerning enough to read “Cougar Board” messages.”
