Interesting article, but it's essentially talking about a small area of 6,000
people. I think the rest of the state is pretty homogenous--especially if you take away the military bases. Anchorage metro area is only 5% black even counting the military (I believe that figure is counting military anyway). Outside of the military I saw only a small handfull of black people during my 3 years there.
