Make BYU Great Again
After reading the thread on Rhondo and the Bateman & Samuelson presidencies. I wonder if there were really any forward strides for the whole university during their tenure. However, I won't lay the blame entirely on them. At least one member of the BOT was not in favor of the direction BYU had been going and probably was the controlling factor.

Maybe it's just me, but I see a new direction, a new BOT and a new attitude at BYU that has been missing for 20 years. I deal with the school on a professional level at least once a month and they are questioning everything that was done before. For some reason, the bureaucratic mess there affected nearly everything. They are looking at why they do things the way they do. Come to find out it wasn't because the Church required it, somebody just put their own $0.02 worth of useless requirements on many things and they are shedding them as quickly as possible. They are slow to move, but at last they are finally looking at things. Sad to say but if BYU were a business, it would be in serious financial trouble. I for one am very glad that they are finally starting to look at things from a business perspective.

Now if it can only translate into the Athletics part of the equation. I fear that it is too late. 1996 should have been our springboard to a whole new level. As it is, it might be the peak for a very long time.
