I think there is or should be more of a relationship between national team choice and emotional allegiance. What nation would they be more proud to represent, given that they would be called to either? There is a difference between legal citizenship status and emotional allegiance. Not all, if any of those German /American players would be called to the German national team. Different circumstance. These players have the right to do what they want. I'm not criticizing your view but mine is different.
