Of course BYU fans are overly protective of their school and players — but which team's fans aren't? And when they do get worked up, BYU fans are tame compared to most.

Complaints from employees of the Trib are especially absurd given that it's Utah fans who turned their comments section into a hellish the-hills-have-eyes wasteland and given that it was a Utah fansite that the paper supposedly threatened to sue because of sexually threatening comments about one of its writers.

I have trouble seeing how that's less problematic than BYU fans' bowdlerized posts complaining about their coverage way over here.
