And today there is a negative piece on the church which
I won’t link. It goes both ways. All I am saying is that news is news, whether positive or negative. Just because a paper, any paper, published a friendly article that does not make that paper friendly. The same is true when it published a piece some would consider unfriendly.

To church members, a negative piece, or a negative series, may seem anti-Mormon. It does not seem that way to the many others who are non-believers. There is good and bad in the Tribune as it pertains to the church. The Tribune’s relationship to the church is not unique in teens of covering a predominant religion in a region. Go ask the Boston Globe if they are anti-Catholic if they print about corruption in the local dioces or if The Miami Herald is anti-Cuban when they report a negative series on Cuban refugees.

If anyone thinks this type of church/paper relationship is unique and outrageous, you should pay better attention.
