Once TV network execs can’t decide which teams to put in front of you, the power of the national branded and marketed teams will erode. It won’t become completely equal because history and TV will still matter, but the P5 dichotomy as we see it today will not become more clear but increasingly nebulous.

BYU will benefit immensely from this whether P5 or Indy. And the playoff will expand as a result.
