I have followed ladies HS track in Utah for years
And winning the sprints in Utah ain’t like winning sprints in Florida. Amy Menlove was state champ in 100 and 200 and Long jump as soph and jr until Shawnee Slade unseated her in 200 and Long jump her Sr year. Amy was an amazing athlete. NCAA event champ in pentathlon in a decade but not fast enough to solo as a sprinter. Too bad Shawnee opted for hoops. She was national champ in long jump at AAU level for several years and had the strength to dominate at 200 and 400
