I find this NBA three point trend disturbing

The average three point attempts per game (apg) in the NBA has increased by 10.6 apg from 18.4 apg in 2011-2012 to 29 apg this season. It has steadily increased each year since it was initiated with the exception of a plateau from 2007-2011 at about 18.1 apg. Something needs to be done. The NBA game was so much better 10 years ago!
