My wife wants a dog. I tell her that’s fine as long as she understands
That if the dog ever gets sick and needs surgery or medication, then that dog is dying.
If the dog ever ruins something in our house of great value, then that dog is dying.
If the dog cannot be left alone while we are gonna on vacation and requires boarding or something like that then that dog is dying.
She has realized I should never own a dog and has stopped asking for one.
