NCAA rule: Coaches only have 10 days to hold camps in June/July

In years past coaches could attend camps like 'All-Polly' to evaluate and work with recruits (or find future prospects).  However, new rules have made 'satellite camps' almost impossible.

With the new rules, D1 FBS school coaches can only get 'hands-on' experience with recruits during a 10 day period in June/July.  The camps have to be on school-owned facilities.  The 10 days do not have to be consecutive... that's why BYU does 2 camps one week apart.

I don't know of any FBS school run camp in June/July that is non-padded.

With the big camps like All-Polly struggling to find a home with these new rules,  School sponsored camps are the only place coaches can evaluate kids directly.  That = Pads.
