My gripe with coco, was the very prominent homicide themes in a kids film. Spoil

Yes it’s a movie about those who Passed and I might have been able to overlook that it quickly turned into a murder mystery story. but the scenes where the singer is discovered and then attempts to kill his former best friend *again * to keep his fame and glory was too dark for a kids movie imho and not something I want my kids watching over and over.
