How can you mess up a tour in Italy? JustLDS managed to do just that. It was basically really poorly planned. We were supposed to be going to Rome on Easter Sunday. Our itinerary had us going to church in the morning near Naples (to a ward where the tour guide had served his mission). But then went straight to a hotel an hour outside of Rome. We arrive there at like 5 pm and are told to just eat dinner at the hotel. We were nowhere near Rome! They couldn't have taken us into the city for the evening, then on to the hotel? (my wife and i and a few others said screw it and just took pub trans into Rome that night). Then they had screwed up the reservation to see the Last Supper painting in Milan. They initially told us that they were going to take us to see something "even better" instead. After the group balked at that they had to scramble to get us there on a different day, but we had to spend a bunch more time in the motorcoach. We ended up eating lunch most days at a rest stop in the middle of the highway. The tour was billed as a tour with Bruce Porter, the LDS scholar/historian, who was great. But he cut ties with JustLDS when his contract with them was done because the operation of the tour was terrible. Very amateur!
