One thing we were not anticipating was the invites to birthday parties becoming a point of jealousy and contention. None of the parents of the kids in their class knew they had a twin sister, and so when one got invited to a birthday party, the other didn't.

Also the sheer number of birthday invites was overwhelming. Double in number of gifts since they were invited separately we couldn't combine the gifts.
