1) we actually move here for a job in downtown Fort Worth but shortly after we settled changed to a job in Irving. Added commute time but it was definitely a better move for me and the family. Now if we move most places that have equivalent or better schools would be a similar or longer commute. Moving close to work would put us in some districts that would be a step down unless we decide a million for a home is perfectly reasonable and buy in Southlake.

2) HOA rules won't allow it otherwise... I still couldn't afford one.

3) There are days. But the hours I work now and the project I am leading is really hard to replace. So the drive will remain the thorn in my side.
