Related - one of my mission companions was a postman in England. He told me he had extensive training on defending
against dog attacks. The main training was to always grab the dogs front legs and pull them apart as far as possible. Apparently dogs have very little muscle/tendons to prevent this and it instantly stops the dog, and can be fatal. Said he used the technique twice. Yikes.
