I think it would be smart to have a kid like this on the roster who may only go in to run the fade and to block field goals, but what corner is going to outjump him for a jump ball fade and how many field goals could be disrupted by a guy who is 6'9" and can jump that high with arms that long. I would always have one or two guys like this from the volleyball or basketball team for just those roles. You can promise their coach you won't put them in harm's way for normal play. Just trot them out as a fade option inside the red zone and as a field goal blocker for any field goals 40 yards or longer where the trajectory is typically lower as it passes the line of scrimmage. Kaufusi has proven this thesis and someone with more ups that blocks for a living (volleyball players) would be perfect.
