To be honest, I have only had the opposite experience
I have talked with BYU-I students who said, "we went to BYU-I so i guess that means we're for utah in that rivalry. You know because BYU-I doesn't like BYU."
They were serious, too. It surprised me. I was talking about an idea to bus BYU-I students down for the rivalry game.
