but there are a several key differences:
- Going into the Michigan game, the team was tired out from all the traveling to tough venues without a break, including a game in LA the previous Saturday night. This year we got a home game vs an FCS team the week before the UW game. Had we had that before the ‘15 Michigan game, I think we would have had a much better showing.
- Seattle is a shorter trip than Ann Arbor, we’ll have more BYU fans in the stadium, and Washington isn’t as dominant at home as Michigan is.
- One of my big concerns going into Michigan was having a freshman QB facing maybe the best D in the country, without our starting RB (you may recall both Taysom and Jamaal were out injured — the game would have been much better with them). Our O aren’t world beaters this season, but at least Mangum is a senior now, and Squally will hopefully be able to play.
- Our D is better this year
