I've been late with a bunch of movies this year. It was about what I expected it to be: a movie with some dinosaurs and not that great of writing. I think that all of the character's had pretty suspect motivation with their decision making in the movie — which normally I don't let bother me, but it took me out of this one pretty bad (like why Owen and Claire weren't just shot on sight when they were discovered... The bad guys had no problem leaving them on the island or murdering a sick old man, but they decided to keep them around for purposes of furthering the plot I guess). I think there were a couple of interesting ideas, but mostly it was sorta "meh". Still better than Jurassic Park 3 though imo.

I think the most interesting thing that happened was the ending with releasing all of the dinos into the world. I almost hope they go all-in on this with the sequel and we get a Planet of the Apes with Dinos on the loose (it would at least buck the trend of all the other Jurassic Park movies, even if it had to borrow something from another franchise... maybe it would be more interesting than another retread?).
