defense, QB sacks, turnovers were all in the bottom 1/3 of the league. They didn't play 1 team that was a top 40 offense in yards per game iirc. Yeah, the defense wasn't bottom 10 in cfb, but they were below average.

The defense does still give up too many 3rd and long plays (and 2nd and long)
