Poor take. To be at 20-12 — ie, “hold serve” — Kalani just needed to
1.) Beat UMASS
2.) Beat ECU
3.) Beat Fresno
4.) Be 2-1 vs. USU
If he does that, he’s 20-12 through his first 32 and matching Broncos production through his final 32. Heck, if he’s 3-0 vs. USU he’s at 21-11 and technically improved!
None of those losses have anything at all to do with frontloaded schedules, a P5 Utah, etc.
Most on here I think would agree that the main concern isn’t that he hasn’t broken thru against Utah and Boise yet. It’s that he took over a program that was already struggling to do that but has actually GONE backwards from where it was.
