He may have had the best start to a college career in the history of BYU. He has struggled since that first season. I'm guessing it's some complicated combination of coaching, injuries, mechanics, and confidence. But I have no issues moving on. If I had confidence that we would win the remaining 6 games only if Tanner played, I'd be all for keeping him. But since I don't expect us to win, we may as well play the new guy to gain experience for the future.
