The owners back then were awesome. I remember they would watch for people that they'd recognize coming for a repeat lunch visit, wait for them to order and then whisper to the cashier "their lunch is free today". We'd tell them lunch was on the manager and thanks for being loyal. Guys would come almost every day after that. We always had a line out the door and partially around the building every lunch time. The food was good too.

And if any of you who are reading this happen to be that sweet spirit who left me your phone number on a napkin, I still feel kinda guilty for never calling. Hope your life has been great.
