And yes. People have good hearts and want to help others after they’ve climbed out of some of their own struggles.

No, people didn’t send out letters in the 80s and 90s, but people during those decades weren’t as aware of other people’s deep issues either.

Now days, people are more aware of the struggles others are going through and they want to help. I think it’s commendable. I don’t see a down side to what Nick posted. Not in the least. And it’s probably positive affirmation for himself on some level, which is fine. He’s worked hard to get back to where he is.
