I've been putting together a Christmas playlist
and it's been fun to figure out what version of each Christmas song is my favorite.

For example, for the Little Drummer Boy, I like the Bob Seger version the best. For Jingle Bells and Frosty the Snowman, I like the Ray Conniff Singers. For Winter Wonderland, the Eurythmics version is quite catchy.

And even though I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus is one of the worst Christmas songs, I sort of like the John Mellencamp version.

By the way, I agree with your top two. I particularly like the Celine Dion version of Ave Maria and the Josh Groban version of O Holy Night.

Two that I think you're missing are the Hallelujah Chorus and For Unto Us a Child is Born from Handel's Messiah. I particularly like the MoTab versions of these with an orchestral accompanyment.

I also like the Waltz of the Flowers from the Nutcracker. Just a gorgeous piece of classical music.

Finally, I really like the Pavarotti version of Gesu Bambino.
