7k is horrid for a legit program, that has a decent fan population from Boston to NYC to Philly given the members etc. Additionally it was in an NFL stadium and only real east coast game.
You realize how many members and BYU fans could attend he game from the east coast, only time this year where it is drivable. How many stakes and people/alums in NYC/CT/NJ, Boston, Philly, even DC? Throw on the fans that travel as families of players, those affiliated with the program, real fans that travel. So no, not impressed.
Lastly, I was there and would be shocked if there were 7k BYU fans. I have been to many Pats games, it felt like a small HS football playoff game. There were likely 14k seats sold I doubt there was close to that amount that attended, but yes BYU fans did outnumber UMass fans. We are stretching these days to be proud of something.
What does Utah have to do with this? Talk about a little brother comment. I have no idea and frankly I don’t care. These are the comments that are embarrassing as Cougar fans.
