Them: "So I take it you went to school at BYU."

Me: "Heck no, I didn't have the grades for BYU"

Them: "I didn't go to BYU because_______." << insert excuse.

Its funny how the moment I say I didn't have the grades to go to BYU they automatically go into defense mode as to why they didn't go. I never asked them WHY they didn't go to BYU. Yet they feel inclined to assure me it wasn't because they weren't smart enough. Their insecurity is cute.
