Played against McMahon when he was at Roy, started following BYU when he went there, loved the innovation and physicality of BYU teams.

As I got into coaching I came to appreciate how they are able to be successful while doing things the right way. To be honest, BYU is a model that many High Schools could currently learn from and emulate, instead of some of the BS that goes on now in the HS ranks.

You can appreciate and even love a product of a religious school for many reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with religion. And as a side benefit. When I catch BYU games on the road and beer is being served I never have to wait in line.
