I'd rather be the winningest team from the conference with the most total wins, the most respected wins and the most watched wins against BCS/P5 schools.

Who cares about intra-conference wins and losses vs. UNM or Wyoming? I think it's great that BYU beat those teams on a more consistent basis, and has been built a great program doing that, but I just don't think the rest of the country paid much attention.

Okay we had a lot of NFL talent...but they also left early. That has an impact. Imagine if Alex Smith or Paul Kruger stayed another year. We'd have a much greater win record. BYU and the other MWC schools didn't have to deal with that so much.

Could you imagine if Max Hall and Pitta left their junior year?
