If BYU could have left Utah behind and didn't, they did the right thing.
What's happened in the last 5-8 years or so of CFB have been bad for the game. Universities should have a rival they play every year, the last regular season game. That's one of the hallmarks of CFB that has made it such a great experience. Universities should be playing other universities in similar geographic regions. Look at the SEC. How often do those teams ever leave the south? It's as rare as a bacteria free west concourse at res.

So if BYU had a chance to leave utah behind and chose not to, for whatever reason, then it was probably the right thing for CFB - meaning that BYU would have made a decision as much in the interest of others as their own. utah leaving BYU behind was probably the wrong thing to do for CFB. But who can blame them?

As far as BYU fans go, it feels doubly painful to be left on the outside because we believe that all those years of great football helped create an environment that now utah gets to enjoy. It sucks as bad as crazy lady's dancing.

And the high and mighty, self righteous utah fans that think they're so much better than BYU - just remember that what goes around comes around. We're living proof of that.
