He's an athlete and you could put him at 2 or 3 different spots. Bring him in simply because he's an athlete, then find a spot. Also remember this staff had nothing to do with recruiting him. Steward is out recruiting RBs because they don't want to settle on what they have, and relying on an RM who likely doesn't even play RB isn't the way to start.
